Three-layer parquet
Berg & Berg parquet has numerous tangible advantages. Three-layer engineered flooring is more expensive to produce but it is technically superior. Thanks to the use of slow growing Nordic wood, it is clearly superior to other 3-layer parquet with a conventional structure. The premium middle layer of slow grown North Swedish pine is of crucial importance for the high dimensional stability of Berg & Berg parquet. Quality is in the details and the control of all processing stages at the Berg & Berg plant in Sweden.
Wide Plank and Three-Strip Flooring
Three-strip floors are the classic parquet pattern. Each board is 7.8x94 inches. The individual strips are 2.6 inches wide and ours are particularly long at 9.8-17.7 inches. They create an irregular pattern along the boards.
Wide plank floors have a large, continuous surface layer (ours is 7.8x94 inches). This requires the use of larger logs which makes wide plank boards more expensive. Every pack may include some shorter boards (31.5/47/2/62.3 inches) which are recommended to use at the beginning and end of installed rows.
